Letter Sound Treasure Hunt

Objective: Practice letter sounds.

How to Play:

  • Print out the letter sound cards from the resource.
  • Hide them around the room.
  • Call out a letter sound and have the child find the card with the corresponding letter.
  • For added fun, let the child hide the cards and call out the sounds for the parent to find!

Sight Word Memory Match

Objective: Learn and reinforce sight words.

How to Play:

  • Print two copies of the sight word cards from the resource.
  • Lay the cards face down on a table.
  • The child turns over two cards simultaneously, trying to match the same sight word.
  • If they find a match, they read the word aloud and keep the pair. If not, the cards are flipped back over.

Sound Blending Relay

Objective: Practice blending letter sounds into words.

How to Play:

  • Choose three letter sound cards and place them at the start, middle, and end of the room (e.g., C, A, T for "cat").
  • The child races to each card, saying the sound as they touch it.
  • At the end, they blend the sounds to say the full word.
